[SOLVED] Wifi problem Eee900: wicd "No wireless networks found".

Wifi was working fine as always, but after an empty battery and hard shut down, wicd 1.7.0 shows the message "No wireless networks found".
I have been messing with rc.conf quite a lot, so now I can't remember what it was like when everything still worked.

iwconfig doesn't mention something like wlan at all.
Can't seem to figure out what's wrong and hope to get it back right with your help,

Thanks!

wpa_supplicant and wireless_tools are both installed.

#iwconfig:

lo        no wireless extensions.

eth0      no wireless extensions.

rc.conf:

MOD_AUTOLOAD="yes"
#MOD_BLACKLIST=() #deprecated
MODULES=(atl2 snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm-oss snd-hwdep snd-page-alloc snd-pcm snd-timer snd snd-hda-intel soundcore)

eth0="eth0 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.0.255"
INTERFACES=(!eth0 !wlan0)

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng openntpd !network dbus netfs crond hal wicd)

wLee,

please look in the BIOS. Perhaps wlan is disabled.

You're right, it was disabled.
It's fixed now, wifi works again smile

Thank you very much!
