Hi, I have a Radeon 9600 pro and kernel 2.6.33-ARCH.
How do I change kms resolution?
(I started alsaconf to show the wrong screen resolution, i think it's 800x600 or 640x480 not sure, while it should be 1280x1024, also why is it on a corner of the screen?)
Is this a kms+radeon bug maybe?
Thank you for helping!

You can start by posting here

I've seen that bug several times but I don't use ATI, so I don't know whether you should pick another driver (catalyst?) or do sth else.
> also why is it on a corner of the screen?
Because that's how the screen is drawn, the starting point with coordinates (0,0) is the top left corner.

Since v. 9.4, the proprietary ATI driver supports only R600 and newer devices (that means, HD2xxx and newer). For older cards, you can only use xf86-video-ati.

IIRC 'echo options radeon modeset=0 > /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf' disables KMS.

I know, but I need KMS, because, i don't know why, flashplayer without it is very slow on my card, even on a simple youtube video.

Flash sucks on Linux. Period.
Try downloading the movie w/ FlashGot, cclive or sth similar.
