Using yaourt for the first time to install firestarter without success

Hello, I am trying to install firestarter on my kde4 system.  I figured that yaourt would be the perfect tool to install the firestarter package.  Unfortunately, I hav ha no success in installing firestarter.

This is the error that I get:

checking for pkg-config... no
*** The pkg-config script could not be found. Make sure it is
*** in your path, or set the PKG_CONFIG environment variable
*** to the full path to pkg-config.
*** Or see http://www.freedesktop.org/software/pkgconfig to get pkg-config.
configure: error: Library requirements (libgnome-2.0 >= 2.0.0
                  libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.0.0
                  gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4.0
                  gnome-vfs-2.0 >= 2.6.0
                  libglade-2.0 >= 2.3.6) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
==> ERROR: Build Failed.

Any help/directions would be appreciated greatly.

You do have pkgconfig installed, right?

Man...do I feel embarrased now hmm
I guess that's why it's called the Newbie Corner...I was missing pkgconfig and make.
Thanks for the quick reply.

No problem, make and pkgconfig are part of the base-devel group which is needed for proper AUR usage. I suggest you install that before continuing. See the AUR User Guidelines for more details. Good luck.
