can't have vim and gvim anymore?! [solved -- post is irrelevant]

with this morning's update:

:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
warning: removing 'vim' from target list because it conflicts with 'gvim'

I don't see an option to run gvim without a gui (eg. like xemacs - nw), so what gives here?
