Hi.
I previosly used a vanilla 2.6.11 + nitro patchset, but due to a bug
with a delay of around 5min when exiting X i installed the mm kernel via pacman.
To my surprise it wasn't patched with the fbsplash patch so i'm wondering:
where can I download a compatible fbsplash/vesafb-tng patch?
The latest versions on the site is:
vesafb-tng-0.9-rc6-2.6.11-rc1.patch
fbsplash-0.9.2-2.6.12-rc1.patch
and i'm guessing they arent compatible?
(im using linux-2.6.11-mm4 now)

Nitro is patched with those versions, so it could work with mm as well. Please note, that AFAIK fbsplash-0.9.2 won't work with initscripts provided by dibble, due to major structural change in this version. Moreover, if you have problems with nitro, you could also try morph patchset (I have experienced no problems with 2.6.11-morph1 so far).

Alright, looks like I will have to give 2.6.11-morph1 a go then
Nitro was very good (performance and stability wise), but I could'nt stand having to wait around 5min everytime I wanted to switch between kde/gnome/xfce/fluxbox or just simply quit X.
Edit:
btw, you're running on nvidia right?

Yes, I'm nvidia user.

Good. I guess the Nitro problem is nvidia related.
