Hi
has been all day im trying to install arch but cant ![]()
I've only wireless and cant get it work for download first stuffs and let it work so im stuck after first reboot of installation.
I got as network controller : Intel Wireless Wifi Link 5100
and ethernet controller : Broadcom netlink bcm5784m
tryed many stuffs on forum / web didnt work.
Can anyone point out easily which step Ive to take or ive to write down on config during installation ?

When you get to the part of the install for selecting packages, make sure you select iwlwifi-5000-ucode. The installer loads this by default, but if you dont tell it to install it you wont have your wireless card's firmware when you reboot. May as well install iwlwifi-5150-ucode as well I'm not sure which one is for your card.

dhcpcd goes in timeout
It wasnt that update, dunno which is I just picked all and installed everything ![]()
but now ive the timeout problem

To get wireless working from the terminal as root:
ifconfig wlan0 up
iwconfig wlan0 essid <your access point here>
iwconfig (too see if you are associated, then...)
dhcpcd
See if that works.

yes thats what I did and after dhcpcd, it goes timeout
