- Adblock Plus
- FireGestures (Besides removing the need of most toolbar buttons, also has nice "history" and "tabs" menues accessible from right-click + wheel up/down.)
- Xmarks (bookmarks and tabs synchronisation between Linux and Windows.)
- Linkification (Creates clickable links from text automatically)
- Nightly Tester Tools (I think I installed it only to enable some older addons, but maybe I could get rid of it since "extensions.checkCompatibility.3.6 = false" seems to be the thing to do now.)
- Read it Later (To put pages in a waiting list instead of a new tab... I don't use that one much in practice.)
- Tab Mix Plus (I probably could get rid of it since I've hidden the tab bar now... But I think I used Tab Mix Plus to hide it! So maybe I need it.)
- ImgLikeOpera (Prevents images from another domain from being loaded. Not sure why I use it.)
- OpenBook (For a bigger bookmark window. A must have. Firefox devs are from another planet.)
- keyconfig (So that I can enable/disable colours with the press of a key.)
- Flashblock
- Lazarus: Form Recovery

By using a hosts file for ad blocking.
Please give me an example

I don't like this approach too much actually.
I prefer Adblock Plus for Firefox and Privoxy for everything else (uzbl).Edit: @Procyon: I didn't find privoxy to be slow nor complex. Could you elaborate what you mean?
Ah yeah, not to keen on that. I have my own machines listed in here also, so updating the list could become a pain. I know I could automate it but I dont really see the advatges over adblock.
Thank you all the same tho

Adblock Plus ( However I do understand why sites wanna use adds, I don't understand why they have to make 'm so bloody annoying. )
BetterPrivacy ( Gone with LSO-cookies )
Ghostery ( blocks trackers and analyzers )
Moonlight ( just to be able to watch the occasional silverlight-stuff )
That's it, however I'm reading this topic with interest and will try out some more extensions...

Personally I feel no guilt in ad blocking, because I never click any ads anyway, so blocking them makes my web experience more pleasant without hurting anyone.

I used to use Zotero, but I was having problems with it, so now I am presently searching for an alternative bibliography manager. One that doesn't work from my web-browser, since that seems less than ideal.

I use bibus though it's a different concept from zotero.

I was unaware of Firefox's "Troubleshooting Information" page.
I use (in alphabetical order):
Adblock Plus
NoScript
Vimperator
Web Developer
If possible, I prefer to add JavaScript functions to Vimperator as an alternative to installing new extensions.
