Packages required for a minimalistic KDE Deskop?

Dear all,

I have installed Archlinux base and would like to install KDE Desktop. Which is the best option to get a minimalistic KDE desktop? Will 'packman -S 'kde-base-workspace' meet the needs? Please help.

Thanks,
egnu

I'm not a KDE user, and I'm not sure what a "minimalist KDE desktop" entails.  I have noticed that the wiki has an excellent KDE page.  Did you already look there?

There is a minimal install section, too.

The most minimalistic desktop is kdebase-workspace. But I would recommend to also add some/all packages from the kdebase group like konsole etc..

You can verify the packages that it will install when you run 'pacman -S kdebase-workspace'.  You can also use 'pacman -Si kdebase-workspace' to verify the package and its dependencies.

I strongly recommend you also run 'man pacman'.
