Hey all, I am running wine32 on my 64bit system, and also running into problems downloading the SC2 beta.
$ wine Downloads/StarCraft_2_Beta_enUS.exe
fixme:wininet:InternetSetOptionW Option INTERNET_OPTION_CONNECT_TIMEOUT (60000): STUB
fixme:wininet:InternetSetOptionW INTERNET_OPTION_SEND/RECEIVE_TIMEOUT 60000
http error code = 404
fixme:wininet:InternetSetOptionW Option INTERNET_OPTION_CONTEXT_VALUE; STUB
err:wincodecs:JpegDecoder_CreateInstance Failed reading JPEG because unable to find libjpeg.so.8
fixme:ole:CoCreateInstance no instance created for interface {9edde9e7-8dee-47ea-99df-e6faf2ed44bf} of class {9456a480-e88b-43ea-9e73-0b2d9b71b1ca}, hres is 0x80004005
err:ole:OleLoadPicture IPersistStream_Load failed
An error box for the blizzard downloader also pops up saying the application couldn't be loaded for some reason, and to close everything and try again...
Could the servers just be overloaded? I have been trying this for quite some time, and there don't seem to be any helpful posts (even from WoW downloads).
Thanks!

Looks like your stuff is outdated. Make sure all AUR packages are compiled against the latest libraries. Arch-games offers bin32-wine packaged as well.

Thanks, didn't catch that heh.
Updating everything as I type, I noticed it was packaged here, but I remember removing wine was not the easiest (this may be different now though). Do you think the package here would yield different results?

After yaourt -Su --aur the same error comes up. I also did a -Syu just because, no change to the error unfortunately.
Is there anything else I could post that might help?

try installing pacman -S lib32-libjpeg
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
