For some time I have a question that is not specifically referring to Archlinux but perhaps notebook users on the forum can help me.
I have a thinkpad T500, when I use the notebook at home generally do without the battery and AC plugged.
It is possible to plug the battery when the notebook is turned on?
if the answer is yes: It is possible to remove the battery when it's on? (Obviously AC plugged )
I hope you can help me with the answer
thank u

Yes, it is safe to remove the battery when the AC adapter is plugged in.

I've never actually tried any of these things, but because every notebook I've ever seen could work with the battery removed, I think it's safe to take the batt out and back in when the notebook is running. Just make sure that the AC adaptor will stay connected.

I've used a Toshiba that did not appreciate having its battery removed while running on AC, it would simply shut down.

thank you all.
I just recently try removing the battery with the computer running and everything worked perfectly.
I repeat, thanks to all
