Have a problem using abcde to rip cds?

Hi,
I'm using abcde to rip cds onto my hard drive. I use mp3 format.  The problem I'm having is that I can't get the tracks to have the proper name. The all come out as trackXX.mp3 (where XX = the track number). I'd prefer it to be name-of-track.mp3.

I've tried modding abcde.conf and several command line parameters to achieve this but I can't get it to work.

Any ideas??

Re: Have a problem using abcde to rip cds?

I used;
abcde -a cddb, encode, tag

I have since noticed that the tag and cddb operations seem to work. If I import 'track09.mp3' into xmms it appears with the correct song name.  I'd really like the file on the disk to have the same name as the song.

Tried your suggetion. It read  all 21 tracks and created one mp3 with the artists name. It deleted all the wav files.

Is there another suggestion for a cd ripper??

Re: Have a problem using abcde to rip cds?

I just did it again today and it worked fine for 2 cds

do you have any abcde.conf or .abcde files anywhere?
check /etc/abcde.conf to see if any options might be changed in there

Thanks dadexter. My abcde.conf was set up wrong.  Made some adjustments and it works great.

Thanks Again,

Jim
