Gedit Insert date and time config

Hi all.
  I'm trying to make gedit to insert the current date without showing every time irritating dialog.
I'm going to Edit -> Preferences -> Plugins -> Insert Date/Time -> Configure
    and choosing preconfigured ot custom format.
OK! Getit says nothing wrong, neither accepts the configuration. Next time I clickconfigure it stays on Prompt and ... prompts the dialog every time.

It has nothing /.gconf/apps/gedit-2/plugins about time plugin.

I searched for the manual config methods and found nothing.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Is this the same type of bug?: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/327689
What version of Gedit exactly?

Re: Gedit Insert date and time config

No, it finds the UI, and inserts the date/time just OK. The BUG is that it doesn't save the settings and every time pops the dialog for the date/time format to insert.
