[FIXED] Screen flickers (and more strange issues)

Well, i have been using arch in my laptop for a couple of years already,a nd i never had such a pain of an error like this one:
See, the graphic card is an ati mobility radeon x1600, and i followed the wiki to install the ati drivers http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI … 8radeon.29
I installed xf86-video-ati according to the wiki...
Then i configured them for being held by KMS on "early start" http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI#Early_KMS_start just for seeing if this way i can get rid of the problems, but its useless, the screen flickers - i just have to change the monitor's resolution once and the flickering dissapears.
Another error it has is that sometimes, the system detects two screens instead of one...
I dont know if it is the graphic card dying or a misconfiguration of my ati card (probably the second option)
Should i try some other driver?
Can anyone help me?

Fixed: I just had to disable KMS
