X-Fi + OSS -> not detected

Hi there.
I would like to test my x-fi with ossv4. I read the wiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OSS#Install .
But somehow the x-fi is just not recognized. (completly)

Installing, loading modules, adding user to audio - thats all done. ossdetect -v even finds the card:

So the card is there alright, but not listed as audio device in /dev/oss/ . There are only 2 USB devices. One is definitly my Microphone (one USB-detection less when pluged out), the other I don't know.

Any idea why the card is missing? I did not encounter any errer message yet..., card gets just not detected

Perhaps you should check whether your specific card is even supported. The words 'BETA' and 'EARLY BETA' seem to warn against it. In general OSSv4 support is not as broad as alsa's, simply because of the number of devs.
