Occasional Freezes in Wine Games on SW-RAID0 ?!

Hi

I play an online Game in wine, Final Fantasy XI, for like one year on Linux now. It's installed on a Software RAID0 of 2 HDD's with an EXT4 partition on it. The Game occasionally freezes for 3-5 seconds but sometimes for good. I believed its the updated Xorg 1.7.x and/or Nvidia 195.x.x driver as it worked fine a few month ago. My friend plays the game on Linux too and the first thing he asked was if its installed on Linux Software RAID and if so its probably the reason. I'm a bit confused now, is it even possible that RAID causes a freeze in Games due to I/O lag or whatever ? Otherwise it must be the current Nvidia driver or Xorg.
