Hey everyone, I have recently started using sleep mode. And I was wondering is there any way to put my computer in sleep mode but NOT have my front LED constantly blink? I was just letting my monitor turn off, but I recently installed a case fan and a video card with a fan, and those fans are constantly on unless the computer is sleeping, hibernating, or off. I would just turn it off or use hibernate (since those both make the front LED turn completely off), but putting the computer to sleep/waking it up is much faster than hibernating/turning it off.
But yeah, would prefer to use sleep but my bed where I sleep is right in front of my tower and a extremely bright blinking blue LED in my face all night is pretty annoying (I didn't really mind it when it was always on, but when it was blinking I just could not get to sleep. lol)
Running Arch 64 with KDE, any help would be appreciated. Would prefer to use some software setting to either make the LED always on or always off when sleeping, but if that's impossible for some reason, I suppose I'll just put tape over it. >.>

Better than tape would be to open the case and just unplug the LED.

Cover it with something or disconnect it from the motherboard? I don't think you can disable it software-wise.

+1
If you don't wanna disconnect the LED lead go and cover it with electrical tape.

Or sleep facing the other way.
