Re: Free Arch Linux Shell Account

Hey kaitocracy, could you check for my problem? I'm on linode3 and my username is tommy.hardwood. Could you maybe reset my password, because it seems that the one I got in my email doesn't work. Would be very nice smile

Re: Free Arch Linux Shell Account

Wooooow, it works now. Thank you very much for your support. You are very friendly. smile smile smile Can't email you, because I didn't set up my SMTP yet.

Edit: Ooh. Another problem hmm I don't have write access into my home directory. tongue Would be very nice of you if you could check the permissions and fix them. smile

Edit2: Actually, it seems that I'm not the owner of my home directory, the permissions are correct. Please check smile

Re: Free Arch Linux Shell Account

Since I didn't receive any email for logging in into the shell, so I guess you didn't receive my request email (or me didn't receive your reply email) and I'm going to request for the shell once again here. tongue

I would like to have a 24MB shell (if it still available). I don't want LDAP. My name is Abdul Hafiz and my email is kookoodark [at] gmail [dot] com.

Thank you. :3

Re: Free Arch Linux Shell Account

Hello kaitocracy

I just received your mail with the announcment of migration to amzon mc2 and the great benefits we get thereby. Unfortunatelly I don't have any knowledge on the topics you asked help for, but I would definitly like to show my appreciation for your work. Since I have the habit of donating very small amounts of money (2-4$) to projects like http://www.clonezilla.org/ or http://partedmagic.com/, if I use their software. Therefore I would definitly like to donate to you as well^^. Its a really small amount, but if enough people participate it sums up. So If you have a paypal acc or similar, post it please

Thanks for all your efforts.

Re: Free Arch Linux Shell Account

Huh it looks like a lot of people want to run ZNC. I just looked at my `htop`. Does anyone know why ZNC is using massive amounts of CPU? We're talking each instance is using 100% of a very powerful CPU.

Hey thanks for the support. I do have a PayPal and I was going to set up a donation page. I don't really have a website for the offer though but when I put one up after I get done with everything else that needs to get done I'll probably have one of those PayPal buttons for donating.

I used to hear that someone said that ZNC uses lots of amount of CPU but I don't know why. I didn't even ask the person why because I'm not really interested on ZNC until now.

Anyway kaitocracy, when could I get a notification for the shell? Sorry, doesn't mean that I want to push you to give me a shell. It's just I'm kinda impatient when it comes about this (too excited for a shell XD). But don't worry about that, if you want me to wait just tell me and I can wait. Thank you. ^_^

Hey I posted a note at the top of the initial forum post. You should get your shell this weekend. The thing is I didn't realize the offer would become so popular when I first posted it. Thus I'm transitioning to EC2 and setting it up quite differently to make more efficient use of system resources. I'm sort of putting the shell offer on hold until the transition is complete, which is scheduled for this weekend.

It's probably bad code. Maybe an infinite loop somewhere without sleep() in each instance. Maybe someone could track down the problem?
