How do I get rid of the accessibility icon in my notification area?

I really can't say what I did, but the assistive technologies icon is now in my notification area and I can't get rid of it.  Any ideas?

In Keyboard Preferences, under the Accessibility tab, uncheck the option to toggle accessibility (top). That should get rid of the icon.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
