[solved]external hard drive not mounting

I am unable to mount the partitions in my usb hard drive as a normal user, however , as super user I can.
When I open a dolphin window and try to mount a partition I get an error like this:

An error occurred while accessing 'partition1' , the system responded: org.freedesktop.Dbus.Error.AccessDenied:Rejected send message...

If I open a dolphin window by "sudo dolphin" it mounts successfully. How can I solve this problem?

Have a look at this.

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HAL

I'm guessing you have KDE installed, which means you probably already have dbus and hal installed but you might want to check and be sure.  Your problem is only with the groups, somewhere past the middle it mentions adding the user to the groups storage and optical.

I was having that exact problem, also the HAL wiki have info on other issue I was having in a previous install of Arch. Thank you very much whitehorn!
