Hi there, whenever I want to log in with a medium to long password KDM will fail to authenticate it and will not open a session, just stay asking for the 'correct' password. My current PWD have 7 characters - alphanumeric w/symbols. With short pwd, letters, numbers or symbols, or a mix of all that it will log in but with longer pass KDM will fail.
I still can authenticate via console and xinit into KDE SC 4.4.3, but Hibernation, Sleep and Shutdown will not work.
I'm curious if is a glitch in my system (a fresh Arch x64 install), a KDE bug or a specific Arch KDE4 bug!?

Using KDM on i686 I have a 13 character alphanumeric password (no special characters) and it works fine.

I narrowed the bug to 'ç', I will help if anyone can check that so I can create a bug report at KDE, thanks.

Did you checked that 'ç' is correctly handled in username field?
I ask because it could be a stupid keyboard layout issue :=)

Yeah you're right, that's a common thing, but sadly I have the kbd layout ok! (wait, sadly!? xD)
I already typed the password in the user field and it was okay, even I still use some other obscure symbols and they work ok. Are you using KDE? Will you please try to replicate this? I'm going to fill a bug form today.
