firefox divx play with mplayer

Hello guys,

take this page as an example. I want to play this divx video, but not embedded in firefox as it would be possible with the firefox-mplayer-plugin but rather external with mplayer in a new window.

The best would be if I simply have to click on the embedded object in firefox and then mplayer opens with that file.

Any ideas how to achieve that?

that's better than nothing. Thank you. The example above works with this method. But why not all pages?

Two other examples that doesn't work:

1 or 2

Mplayer doesn't open.

I can provide some update.

I installed gecko-mediaplayer but got the same result. The two last pages aren't working.

Can anybody play those videos with his configuration?
