Kernel26-one[SOLVED]

I don't understand the flagging of packages in AUR. Two days ago I installed the kernel26-one on my AAO. Yesterday it was flagged out of date and today it's not. It is updated 15 may so it doesn't seem to be any difference in version. Is it a new version today or is it same as two days ago?

Re: Kernel26-one[SOLVED]

the maintainer of a package can unflag it out-of-date if he/she feels like it was flagged as an error.  FYI, the comments section goes in to detail why the package was unflagged.

Re: Kernel26-one[SOLVED]

Sometimes users will flag the package out-of-date and the maintainer will unflag it. This can have several causes:-
1. Over-helpful users who think that the latest released alpha/pre-alpha constitutes a reason to flag out-of-date.
2. The package itself may not have the patchset for a later stable version (kernels have this quite often, and the maintainer would know better normally).
3. Some people just accidentally click that button.

Exactly, that's what I did (me being the maintainer of the relevant package). Sadly it seems I have to write the same over and over again with every new kernel release. roll And even worse, even after I had already written the comment, the package was flagged out of date a second time. I'm sorry for the confusion for the common user.

P.S.: jai134, there has not been an update. If you are running 2.6.33.4, it is the latest stable version.
