6gb ram - Htop shows 5966mb?

Hello. I recently just started usign arch linux and dwm. in my desktop I have a intel i7 920 and 6gb ddr 1333mhz ram. If I'm not mistaken 6gb should be 6144mb? Why is htop showing my 5966mb ram?

Because that is showing the memory available to userspace applications. The rest is reserved for the kernel

Can't find any source but you should be able to see your total RAM size by doing this.
cat /proc/meminfo
