gnome 8 to no gnome

I updated gnome8 to gnome10 and now get this when trying to startx....

gnome-session: error while loading shared libraries: libhowl.so.0 cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

install howl and file a bug report so that where ever this dependency is failing to get declared gets fixed.

$ pacman -S howl

there's a pacman bug that looses files, did you try to remove then reinstall?

yes I removed gnome before updating. I will pacman -S howl later today and see how it goes.

/usr/lib/libwrap.so.0.7.6

/usr/lib/libwrap.so.0 is owned by tcp_wrappers 7.6-6
