Acer Aspire One and A928x -- Internet Disconnects during inactivity

I recently got an Acer Aspire One (model AOD250-1638) and have been having wireless issues. If I open up a continuous connection (say, an ssh session), then my wireless is fine, but about 1-5s after I kill the connection, my internet will drop. Regular browsing is impossible without a constant connection. This issue has happened with kernel 2.6.33-ARCH and 2.6.34-ARCH. Using the latest wireless-compat has not fixed the issue. I am using the ath9k driver.

If it matters, I am using wicd (with the iwconfig backend).

Try disabling power save.
"sudo iwconfig wlan[X] power off"
