Re: DBDesigner 4

Hello.

I've problems with downloading the package.

Although i installed xorg-xinit i get an error message while installing the dbdesigner package with yaourt.

==> ERROR: Failed to install all missing dependencies.
==> Missing Dependencies:
   -> xorg
==> Checking Buildtime Dependencies...
==> ERROR: could not resolve all dependencies.
Error: Makepkg was unable to build dbdesigner package.

Hope somebody can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Re: DBDesigner 4

xorg used to be a dummy package which many packagers had their programs depend upon. Recently, this dummy package has been removed. You are save to replace the dependency 'xorg' with the actual program it depends on, 'xorg-init' might or might not be a good candidate (i.e. give it a shot). I don't know actually which part of xorg it depends on.
The dependency line just tells pacman what you need to run the package.

Yes it is, from http://wb.mysql.com/?page_id=6:

MySQL Workbench is a cross-platform, visual database design tool developed by MySQL. It is the highly anticipated successor application of the DBDesigner4 project.

MySQL Workbench is available from the community repositories:

pacman -S mysql-workbench
