Hi,
I have this problem with my second screen flickering on certain actions. For instance, when I press alt-tab to present windows in KDE, it works fine when I do that on my primary screen, but on the secondary screen, it starts to flicker (a white bar appears and disappears over the screen).
Before I switched to Archlinux, I also used to have it with my Gentoo system, although I didn't use compositing there. Because I didn't use compositing, it didn't flicker as much, but it still did now and then.
On my old system, it started hapenning when I upgraded xorg and / or my nvidia drivers. I don't really remember which version my xorg was, but I do remember it was old. But, I don't even seem to be able to ask pacman the version of xorg I use now (not the server, but xorg). Gentoo had a package for that.
My specs:
Linux melk 2.6.33-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu May 13 11:32:37 CEST 2010 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
