I would like to be able to create Arch to run in RAM. Right now I have no preference between x86 and x64. I am not sure if one would be more complicated then the other. I searched the forums and found someone talking about faunos. I went to the site but it no longer seems to be around. I did some googling and I guess it died in 2008.
Could anyone point me in the right direction for configuring Archlinux to run completely in RAM?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you would enjoy french-based archlinux "live" system which has over 500 mb of archlinux packages and is able to cp2ram.
There is capability to enable english and addons allow for saving new items as desired. It is not at the present kernel, one step back, until the kernel is stabilized.
It is quite similar to Faunos and is presently maintained with an active forum (french).
It used open box and pacmanfm.
Details at.: http://calimeroteknik.free.fr/ctkarchlive/
I use the ctkarchlive x86_64 version with my system often running fully in ram.
I have added 200mb of packages via flash cache and my system runs at ram speed.
The initial install is in french and can be installed to flash drive with dd command.
There are instructions in english and Calimero is a student who gave this old man much aid in getting my system up to snuff.
You can find the package list at the web site.
A look see at its details is just a download and install with dd to flash drive.
If this old man of 84 can do it, so can you!..
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!

That's what the official ISOs are using.

It would seem to me that a study of the toram system included with the aforementioned french adaptation of archlinux would give the posting user information leading to his desired end...making his own archlinux toram system.
