BTW: should users report problems w/ the website now or wait until the devs stop working on it?

I think you can report now.  That way issues do not get "lost".

But it's related to http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/19591 : click on the 'wiki' link in the header -> you will go to the wiki and the link will remain highlighted. It used to work for every header link other than 'packages' but now it works only for the wiki.
I'm not sure whether it's part of the same bug and it's already worked on or not.

Edit: OK, fixed.

Since #eeeeff already is not websafe to begin with (#99ccff is the closest "web safe" color), I suggest #e2eeff

I suggest a light grey color or white.

Re: New look for Arch website?

This website easily qualifies to one of the best ones on the web. Easy to navigate, no clutter, no ads, yet still visually pleasing.
Keep up the excellent work!

Re: New look for Arch website?

The new style on the wiki looks great. One minor point you may want to consider: the style for /pre/ and /tips/ is the same - perhaps a slight differentiation would be helpful.

This was also my initial thought, but that again why? They look different from other elements and that's what matters.

A slight differentiation would make it clear that /pre/ is an instruction and that /tip/ is an additional piece of information that, while not necessary, will generally enhance user experience. That is, they are really two different types of information and should probably be styled slightly differently...

I also think the new look of forums is quite nice!

But, AUR is not alone, we need the new look on flyspray too!

Re: New look for Arch website?

Is it just me or does everyone have a large blank area at the top where "index, user list, ..." are?

A more positive note, the new theme is looking really good.

Edit: Never mind it seems to have righted itself now.

I think the triangle is there to tell you if there are new posts or not. I could be wrong though.

Re: New look for Arch website?

Love the forums (except the purple), I especially lighter foreground. However, I think there's too much clutter on the index, i.e. the descriptions are too long. For example:
Topics deemed to be "bikeshed", recurring, ponderous or ineffective by the forum staff are moved to this forum. If your topic has been moved here, you might want to consider action over further discussion, or improving the value and quality of your posts.

This is explained on the sticky of the first page. I think a better description would be:
Inept topics are moved to this forum by the forum staff.

Personally, I'd rather be back in Hobbiton.

Wow, the new forums are looking great! Well, I don't like the message box color that much, but that's easily remedied smile
