Kernel 2.6.11boot issues

In a moment of inspired forsight I saved my 2.6.10 kernel so I could still boot if the upgrade to 2.6.11 went bad. Well it's a good thing I did I'm getting a kernel panic, it says that the kernel is trying to kill init and that there is a bug in the ide module. Where would this be written in the logs so I can post more inf w/o having to write all of it down by hand.

Re: Kernel 2.6.11boot issues

You can get the kernel message with:

# dmesg

Re: Kernel 2.6.11boot issues

Since I can't even get to a console to execute a command so I had to write every thing out. I hope someone can help me. I know this is the mm kernel but I also tried the stock kernel and it gave an identical error.
