wmii-hg aborting

Hi

I upgraded my system this morning and it makes wmii unable to start.

I tried to rebuild wmii-hg, and it builds fine but will abort at the start of the script, thus leaving me with a black screen.
So I reverted the system upgrade and now wmii works fine.
Any ideas where to look at ?

Same here, also tried rebuilding wmii-hg, but didn't help.

Well, a clean build makes it work again. From the suckless mailing list:

Do a full sysupgrade and a clean build and the wmii abort issue
will go away. As for wmiir, you'll have to build with 'STATIC='
because glibc seems to have broken nss for statically linked
applications.

Just ran into this issue myself.  Had to roll back glibc and binutils until the issue gets sorted.

Don't statically link wmiir. Broken on newer x86_64 glibc systems < last commit in repo hg

My wmii is now fixed using libixp-hg 123-1 and wmii-hg 2696-1 from AUR.
