Hey everyone,
If you're interested in coming to ArchCon in Toronto on July 22nd and 23rd, don't forget to register before May 31!
You can register at http://archcon.archlinux.ca/ and get more information on the blog at http://archlinux.ca/archcon2010/
For those attendees starting to get curious about flights, transit, and accommodations, I've updated the accommodations page on the blog, and detailed transit information is also supplied.
Hope to see you all there!

Was a conclusion ever reached on the possibility to provide a live web feed?

Neither Ralvez nor I has the resources to set it up; we're going to be run off our feet as it is. Nobody else has stepped up to stream it for us, so it's looking like no. I'm hoping someone will volunteer to at least turn their webcam on the speakers, though.

Thanks for the reply, Dusty. I know the organizers already have enough to do.
Hopefully someone will manage to get something set up... it's a conference of Arch geeks after all.

I've been only using Arch for a week, but I intend on coming to this conference...it also helps that I live in the Toronto area.
Hopefully someone will manage to get something set up... it's a conference of Arch geeks after all.
I have a few people I can talk to about the live web feed. I'll do my best and let you all know as soon as possible.

Bah, unfortunately they're out of town during the conference. Kind of lame.
If lots of people are still adamant about getting a live web feed, though, I know that these guys have negotiable rates. Don't know how money is being allocated, but if everyone chips in it's certainly doable. Sorry if I got anybody's hopes up!

I think it would be nice if a live web feed were available, but I don't think it's worth much effort or any funds, so I'm far from adamant about it myself. I was mostly hoping that someone would be able to set something up casually. It's a conference of tech geeks after all.
In any case I hope to see pictures and possibly videos online later.

Only four days left to register!
I'd appreciate it if anyone who can make it to ArchCon would register before the end of May; we do have a provision for 'Late' registrations until the end of June, but we really need to know our numbers before that time. I'm getting t-shirts and bags printed right now, and Ricardo is getting catering set up. Both services need to know the number of people attending.
Please help us stay organized, register on time! :-)
