[SOLVED]need to run application as root
I'm currently using the application tilp to connect my ti calculator to my computer. Currently the program only detects my calculator if i run it as superuser. Is there any way i can make it detect my calculator without being run as superuser?

Possibly a permissions issue in relation to the device that is created when the calculator is connected. Udev might help.

Do you connect it with a serial or USB cable?
Try adding you user to the uucp group: 'gpasswd -a uucp yourusername'
Then relogin/reboot and try again.
