Hello,
Sound always worked for me, but when I started my computer today, my soundcard did not do anything for me. VLC nearly freezes when it tries to play a file, but there is no error message, just no sound.
I restarted several times and upgraded my installation to the latest packages, but no change.
I really don't know what to post here, 'cause I don't know which information is important in my case. I'd really appreciate someone pointing me to the right logfiles.

EDIT: Sound is working when setting the audio device A/52 over S/PDIF (I have connected my soundcard's digital out - Creative Audigy 2 - to my amplifier), but no sound when trying normal stereo files like MP3s

Oh my god, I feel embarassed - I don't know why, but PCM was muted in mixer's settings, everythings fine..
How do I delete the post?
