sabnzbd can only write to files when run with sudo

Hi all,

Is there any way of running sabnzbd so that it can write to files without starting it as sudo?

Thanks,

Re: sabnzbd can only write to files when run with sudo

put the correct SABNZBD_USER in /etc/conf.d/sabnzbd
chown -R "that user" /opt/sabnzbd
then start sab from the rc script
/etc/rc.d/sabnzbd start

Re: sabnzbd can only write to files when run with sudo

Thanks kevku. I appreciate your help,

chowning user /opt/sabnzbd I no longer have to to use sudo from a terminal but sabnzbd won't start as a daemon even with the start script in /etc/rc.d anymore.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
