ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

ncmpcpp is excellent, I have only one question.  Is it possible to delete multiple files in one go?  For instance, when i change space mode to select/deselect and select a bunch of files, and hit d, it only deletes the file currently highlighted.  Any ideas? Thanks

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

You actually described it correctly. Are you sure the items you want to remove from playlist are really selected?

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

Not remove from playlist, I'm talking about the delete from hd function in the browser window.

EDIT: But yes, they are selected, the selected items change color to pink.

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

check you ncmpcpp config in your ~/.ncmpcpp/config and find this line:

allow_physical_file_deletion = "yes"

Ask, and it shall be given you.
Seek, and ye shall find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

I *can* delete physical files, but my problem is that only one at a time will delete.  If i select multiple files, still only the one highlighted by the cursor deletes.  Thanks for the replies.

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

yeah, ncmpcpp ignores selected items when it comes to removing them physically from disk. if you want the functionality you are talking about to be implemented, please fill a feature request bug at mpd mantis in ncmpcpp section.

Re: ncmpcpp [SOLVED]

Since he didn't mention it, I'd like to point out that the poster "unK" actually is the developer of ncmpcpp. So following his suggestion is probably a good idea. smile
