Vendetta Online free 14 day trial
Just a quick post for all you space-based MMORPG lovers that want to play a game with a native Linux client, in stead of tinkering with Wine; Vendetta Online is offering free 14-day trial keys over at MMORPG.COM. The normal free trial is 8 hours of gameplay. Now you can play as much as you like for 14 days. Be quick, because at this moment there are only a little over 50 keys left.
The key can also be applied to a running trial, so even if you missed the promotion and already started a trial, you can still apply the key (click on that link while you are logged in on the website with your trial account).

Except the EVE developers went the DirectX route in stead of the OpenGL one, so they now can't make a client for Linux, and pulled the only 'alternative' (a modified Cedega client) from their love and support.
Furthermore, EVE is created and maintained by 50 people. Vendetta by 4. And they release a patch or new content every single week.
That taking into account - how much I love EVE and miss playing it - Vendetta actually kicks EVE's ass on a few points.
