unable to select audio language in gnome-mplayer 0.9.9.2-1

Hi

What the title says, i'm unable to to set another audio language with gnome-mplayer, when i choose another language in the menu nothing changes. Preferences > Language Settings > Default Audio Language does nothing either. Totem and  the command line mplayer can do this fine with the same movie.

Any suggestions ?

Same problem for me, does anybody have a solution yet?

I would use smplayer, is the best frontend for mplayer by far and is well integrated on gnome desktop.
