Currently I am trying to sync Jpilot and a Zire 72 palm. Both play nicely using the "usb:" option in Ubuntu but no dice on arch. I tried all the other options with no success. There is a link to "/dev/pilot" created on connection. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried mounting /dev/pilot? E.G> : "sudo mount /dev/pilot /mnt/temp" and then access it from /mnt/temp?
There is also the "jpilot" application which might help (sudo pacman -S jpilot)

I have installed Jpilot....that is what I am trying to sync too. I am just curious how Ubuntu seems to do it. I will have to try that though.

My parameters : /dev/ttyUSB1 (plug your palm then run dmesg to find the device).
Also, you have to add your username to the uucp group or you won't have write access to the device.

@jib2 Thanks that fixed it. I would rather have it under /dev/pilot, but hey I'm not complaining (in case the palm gods are listening). Thanks.
