tint2 0.10 Segmentation Fault

Hello everyone,

I've upgraded tint2 today from 0.9-3 to 0.10-1. The result when trying to start tint2:

[ochi@cerberus ~]$ tint2
real transparency off.... depth: 24
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0".
Segmentation fault

I've also tried to move my old config out of the way, but to no avail.

I'm using a triple-monitor setup with Xinerama on two nvidia cards.
Window manager is Openbox 3.4.11.2-1.
xorg-server 1.8.1-1 from testing.
64 bit system.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? o.o

You're running a full [testing] system?

I have no problem here running the new tint2, but I have no multi-monitor setup (and I'm running full testing, not just bits 'n' pieces).

Re: tint2 0.10 Segmentation Fault

I have two machines with dual-screen setups on nouveau running this new tint2. No problems here.

Re: tint2 0.10 Segmentation Fault

Hm, the machine is fully updated with [testing] repo enabled. I'm using the nvidia driver.

However, I found the following:

- When disabling Xinerama and using either a single screen or separate X screens, tint2-0.10 works fine.
- When enabling Xinerama, it segfaults as described, no matter if using it with two or three monitors.
- If using TwinView (thus Xinerama is disabled) it also segfaults.

By the way, having the RANDR extension enabled or disabled doesn't seem to make any difference for me.

Re: tint2 0.10 Segmentation Fault

I think the SVN r469 should fixed your problem.
It's clearly a bug in tint2.
