Hi all, yesterday i installed moc from aur
extra/moc 2.4.4-2 [installed]
An ncurses console audio player with support for the mp3, ogg, and wave
formatsi tried setting up pidgin-music-tracker plugin to use moc, but it keeps staying in "Stopped" status
when launching moc, i was using mocp, so i tried running moc instead and nothing happens, shell freezes
this is what i've discovered
smau [~] $ moc -v
Qt Meta Object Compiler version 62 (Qt 4.6.3)if i run man moc, it shows me the man for the music player
smau [~] $ mocp -V
moc 2.4.4 Build: May 20 2010 21:00:0is this possible? what am i supposed to do about this conflicting and have pidgin music tracker working
thanks all!

extra/moc 2.4.4-2 [installed] tells you the package is coming from extra, not from AUR. Were you using yaourt?
You can search for the correct name of the version of moc on AUR there:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … arch=Aller
But the one from extra should be fine.
If you want to know the name of the binary (which is not the same as the name of the package)
As you pointed it, the name of the binary for the package moc is mocp. Use this command for calling it from third party software.
In general, if you wish to know the name of the binaries installed , run " pacman -Ql moc |grep bin "
