Changed monitor and now getting "Monitor:Unknown"

Hi, I just changed my monitor to a new shinny widescreen one (Benq G922HDAL) and the nvidia configuration grabed it no problems, but apparently gnome isnt, In the display settings I get "Monitor:Unknown" and a red "unknown" banner to the top left of my screen, compiz is behaving a little weird also. So i tried reloading compiz, and the unknown banner went away but display still appear as monitor:unknown

How to change this and have arch use the full monitor capabilities?

Re: Changed monitor and now getting "Monitor:Unknown"

I'd like to know this too! I have entered my monitor details in xorg.conf but i still see that same red flag as 655321 described.

I don't have any performance issues, but it'd be cool to have my monitor "known". smile
