I'm having this problem too. I have to set it manually in the terminal (cpufreq-set) each time I reboot. But for this one I haven't taken the time to look and make a bug report on bugs.kde.org

Nice to see, that KHTML Kpart works now. All seems fine at a first glance. Except the previous bug, with the cpu governor.

That's not a problem. They removed cpufreq support in powerdevil, see this for more info.

jxy: Just add the same problem when upgrading, adding --ignore kdeplasma-addons-applets-socialnews to the pacman command skipped the faulty package and allowed me to upgrade.

Beta2 runs incredibly well and fast so far, really impressive.

Hm, I'm still having problems with KDM, not being able to select session, use shutdown menu or login using that big login button.

But, other than that, this release is incredibly fast and stable compared to previous beta.

Activities dialog finally works like it's supposed to, and opening of systray configuration dialog without unlocking applets doesn't lock plasma anymore.

BTW, has anyone been able to use Aurorae with that new window decoration selector dialog in syssettings?
Package is most certanly installed, but I just can't find it... smile

One of the few times that the KDE devs suppose a priori that the users are stupid. I'm so frustrated.

Now, I'll have to add this manually in 4.5:

$ solid-powermanagement set cpufreq powersave

in the powersaving profile. (will add this in the wiki)

I ask because I'd quite like to try out the new beta, but don't really want to have my base system go potentially unstable too.

Using -f is very wrong here. Your local pacman database is now broken. You should have check to which packages those files belonged.

I know that forcing you "solve" the problem, but you should not get those messages because kinfocenter is replaced by kdebase-workspace so pacman should remove kdebase-kinfocenter before it installs kdebase-workspace. Same for opendesktop* and kdelirc.
