Hi!
I've just installed my archlinux in virtualbox on a pendrive, everything would be ok, if it would be a HDD (I installed arch more times), but I might forgot something, which can be solved by chrooting: When I boot the pendrive to my desktop pc, only bash comes with a [ramfs /]# message, and I can't even su or reboot from there. Is there something I missed, and I can solve with chroot (grub reinstall with arguements, missing modprobe or something?)

Is your boot loader configured correctly? It needs to point to the right root partition (use uuids/labels in your menu.lst). You should also take a look at your fstab (again uuids/labels).

is it really just about that? It shoulkd be OK, as it not my first arch install. Or pendrive boot should work the same out-of-the-box like hdd boot?

Have you read this: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … _a_USB_key
I am guessing that you don't have the usb hook in your mkinitcpio.conf.

thank you very much, that what I was searching. I'll try tomorrow from chroot/main system

Solved, only the USB hook was the problem. And I realised lately, that ext4 is not fine foir flash drive but it seems fast as hell, even with ext4
