Hi,
I know there are some topics on partitioning, but I decided to create a new one since it's for advice, not a show off of my setup.
I have two hd's. 160gb and 320gb. I'm going to install arch on it. Used mainly for webdesign (graphics and coding), vector graphics, movies, music, torrenting and webbrowsing.
How should I partiton hard drives?

It depends on your preferences and the speed of the hard disks. If you have a 5400rpm and 7200rpm disk (or a 10,000rpm disk), this might affect your choices. However, I'd personally recommend putting your home directory on the 320gb disk, as user files (especially movies and music) will always take up much more space than programs. I'd keep it simple that way, other people might have more complex suggestions.
In summary: 160gb disk for root, 320gb disk for home. Just my $0.02.

i'ld do the same and i put the swap space in the disk that works less!
If time is relative, the delay is the same.

I've used LVM to create root, /var, /home and separate huge partiton for data.
