Predict grub list?

Hi. I'm going to install arch on my desktop computer but I have so many hdd's and I want to be able to boot my Windows 7 when needed. Is there a way to predict what the hdd's will be named in grub so I can set it right if something messes up?

Re: Predict grub list?

I don't know what your setup is like, but if the Windows bootloader is installed on a different hard drive, then you could just use the boot menu from your BIOS to boot to it.

I have a quite messy setup, I'll try to explain it.

Theres 3 hdds.
1 1.5tb SATA II
1 40gb SATA
1 250gb ATA
The 1.5tb hdd has 2 partitions, 1 on 500gb for my Windows 7. The other partition is for storing.
The 40gb hdd has 1 partition with Windows XP (Which I no longer use)
and the 250gb is just for storing.

I Think the bootloader is located on the 40gb hdd and I'm planning to install arch64 on the 250gb hdd. Is there a way to see what the harddrives are named (id and partitionid) before installing arch?

EDIT: Im now sure that the bootmanager is on 40gb drive.
