After i upgraded my system with latest qt and qtcreator, i con't use qtcreator anymore.
It hangs using 80% of both my cpu's and never starts.
Any idea what might be causing this? And how to fix??
p.s already tried reinstalling, but got the same result

I have the same problem, but qtcreator now starts after uninstalling qt-doc package (pacman -R qt-doc).

I had the same problem guyz.
Right now im using the qtcreator from aur.
The first time i started qtcreator after installing it, it consumed 50% of my cpu. It loaded for a long time too.
and then after a while, the cpu consumption went normal. now everytime i start qtcreator, it loads quickly and the cpu's consumption is normal.

Sorry for my bad english. Same problem, but meanwhile, Biely solution works.
Edit: I reinstalled qt-docs. I run qtcreator and it took a minute to load. I closed and run again, but now work normally. Apparently qtcreator was indexing the documentacion. ¿Biely, work it for you?

Yes, i think it is indexing its documents. So I think you don't need to uninstall/reinstall qt-doc. just let it to do the indexing.
But it would be nice if somehow qtcreator would show what its doing.
in the end. its nice that qtcreator is functioning normally again.

Same here, all went back to normal.
Considering this post solved

Huh. It's weird but qtcreator still takes ages to load. Eventually it loads, but it tries to reindex the documentation each time. After removing qtmod-doc, it loads almost instantly.
