I upgraded my system today, and Skype no longer allows me to input Croatian characters. When started in the command line it displays the following:
QIconvCodec::convertFromUnicode: using Latin-1 for conversion, iconv failed for BOM: Bad file descriptor

QIconvCodec::convertToUnicode: using Latin-1 for conversion, iconv_open failed

I'm on x86_64, and using bin32-skype from aur
I use kdemod4 for a DE.

Downgrading to lib32-qt-4.6.2-4 helps.

Same here with some German characters. Maybe this bug should be reported?

Same here with cyrillic.
Downgrading solved the problem too.
