http://www.archplug.org

I just found this site when search "arch linux" on ixsearch.org. I looks just like the archlinux.org page and it might be something archlinux.org owns, but I want to bring it to your attention just in case it isn't. I noticed that the 'latest news' section on archplug.org doesn't work, and some of the links are directed to archlinux.org.

I felt like I needed to bring this to someone's attention just in case it may be malicious.

If not, sorry for the post.

He appears to be an Arch user. Doesn't look malicious (to me), just out of date.

Re: http://www.archplug.org

His blog is still reasonably active, so he'll probably respond to an email.

From his blog on 2010-02-07

http://www.archplug.org # preparing to start my own distro for arm! #

He probably meant to copy the Arch website and then modify it as a starting point for his project....but hasn't gotten around to the modification part yet.

Re: http://www.archplug.org

It is probably almost as malicious as http://archhurd.org ! wink

The guy probably only wants a version of archlinux that works on a "plugcomputer" for example sheevaplug/pogoplug.

The weird thing about it is that it seems he havent posted about it in the forums. This indicates it may be only an idea.

whacath, see one post down. Barrucadu is an active memeber here and helping to port GNU Hurd in arch. There is also a logo thread for the arch hurd. wink

lol, this is mine, and I haven't done anything with it yet. I have been working on some other projects, and just can't dedicate the time needed yet...

I could help you with web coding, if you'd like.

If you're on IRC, query me (same username) or send me an email to kostis|@|gtklocker|.|com smile
