[SOLVED] Looking for a good way to read Arch mailing lists

I've occasionally read from the Arch mailing list archives, but now I'm wanting to follow a couple of the lists more closely. Is there a good way to follow these lists without adding the list posts to my already crowded inbox?

I'm looking for a way other than an e-mail client or webmail to read these. For example, I'd like to get headers of posts in real time and have the option of accessing a thread in which I'm interested. Something like RSS would probably work.

Can any of you veteran list junkies suggest something for me? Thank you.

Use gmane to access the lists through NNTP from your mail client. It works exactly like you described.

You need to install an RTFM interface.

Have you considered using email filters and IMAP via an email client? I have separate directories for each list to avoid clutter and claw-mail displays the threads in a nice treeview which makes them very easy to follow.

I just use a separate mail account they gave away a while back (archlinux.us) for the arch mailing lists (and other lists as well). Maybe they still have some addresses left.

Re: [SOLVED] Looking for a good way to read Arch mailing lists

Thanks, guys, for the suggestions. I'm looking at newsreaders right now. I decided I didn't want to crowd my regular mail client (claws) any further. I'm already checking several e-mail accounts as it is.

It's been a looooong while since I used usenet; looks like things are pretty much the same, though cool .

Thread marked [SOLVED].
